Admission Procedure &
Eligibility

At Sri Krishna College of Engineering (SKCE), the admission process is designed to be transparent, merit-based, and student-friendly, ensuring equal opportunities for all eligible candidates. The institution admits students into Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E. / B.Tech.) under the guidelines of Anna University, Chennai and the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Admission Procedure

  • Students can apply through Anna University Counseling (TNEA) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu.
  • Eligible candidates are allotted seats based on their 12th standard / HSC marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • A limited number of seats are available under the Management Quota as per government norms.
  • Students may approach the college directly with their academic credentials for admission under this category.
  • During TNEA counseling, students may select SKCE as their preferred institution.
  • Seat allotment is based on *merit ranking* and availability.
  • Once selected, candidates must submit all required documents for verification.
  • Admission is confirmed after payment of the prescribed fees.

Eligibility Criteria

For First Year B.E. / B.Tech. Programs

Candidates must have passed 10+2 / Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) with: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects.

Minimum eligibility marks
  • General Category: 45% aggregate in PCM subjects.
  • Backward Class (BC): 40% aggregate in PCM subjects.
  • Most Backward Class (MBC) & DNC: 40% aggregate in PCM subjects.
  • SC / ST / SCA: A pass in PCM subjects is sufficient (as per Tamil Nadu Govt. norms).
For Lateral Entry (Direct Second Year Admission)
  • Candidates must have passed a Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) in the relevant branch recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu.
  • Admission is through the Lateral Entry Scheme, with limited seats as per Anna University norms.
Documents Required

Students seeking admission must submit the following documents:

  • 10th Standard Mark Sheet & Transfer Certificate
  • 12th Standard / HSC Mark Sheet & Transfer Certificate
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Nativity Certificate (if required)
  • Recent Passport Size Photographs
  • Diploma Mark Sheets (for Lateral Entry candidates)
  • Counseling Allotment Order (for TNEA candidates)
