Activities

Activities

At Sri Krishna College of Engineering (SKCE), academics are supported by a range of student-centric activities that enhance learning outcomes, develop skills, and prepare graduates for professional success. These activities ensure that students gain holistic development beyond classroom teaching.

Process

Class Tests

Regular class tests are conducted to strengthen academic performance and prepare students for university examinations. These tests focus on important questions, model exam patterns, and continuous assessment, ensuring that students revise consistently and build confidence for semester exams.

Process

Mentor–Counselling System

Each student is assigned a faculty mentor who provides personal guidance and academic counseling. Mentors monitor student performance, identify challenges, and help in setting academic and personal goals. Weekly and monthly counseling sessions are conducted to support students in improving their learning strategies, discipline, and confidence.

Process

Problem-Solving Interactive Sessions

Daily problem-solving sessions, especially in mathematics and engineering subjects, are conducted between 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. These sessions encourage interactive learning, clarify doubts in real time, and sharpen analytical abilities. Students are trained to approach complex problems with logic and precision, improving their scores in technical subjects.

Process

Aptitude Development

Special training sessions are organized to strengthen aptitude and logical reasoning skills, which are crucial for placement interviews and competitive exams. Students practice mock tests, puzzles, and logical exercises, enhancing their performance in campus recruitments, bank exams, GATE, and government service exams.

Process

Live Demo Classes at Construction Sites

To give students real-time exposure, live demonstration classes are conducted at construction sites using survey instruments and equipment. These sessions provide hands-on training, linking classroom knowledge with practical field applications. Such initiatives prepare students to become industry-ready engineers with practical experience.

Spoken English & Communication Skills

Recognizing the importance of communication in today’s world, SKCE conducts spoken English classes and personality development workshops. These sessions focus on:

  • Public speaking and presentations
  • Group discussions and debates
  • Business communication and interview skills

This helps students build confidence, fluency, and a professional outlook, improving their employability in global markets.

Co-curricular and Skill Development Activities

In addition to academics, the college encourages students to participate in:

  • Workshops & Seminars by industry experts
  • Hackathons & Coding Contests for CSE/ECE students
  • Technical Symposiums showcasing innovative projects
  • Industrial Visits to reputed companies and plants
  • Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) to nurture startups
Outcome of Activities

Through these activities, SKCE ensures that every student

  • Gains academic excellence and exam preparedness
  • Develops analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Acquires strong communication and interpersonal abilities
