HSC (Academic & Vocational) Candidates

The minimum requirements for admission to B.E. / B.Tech. Programmes are:
Category Marks requirement (Average Maths, Physics, Chem)
Open 50 %
Backward 45 %
Most Backward 40 %
SC / ST 40%

Candidates belonging to communities other than SC / ST should have passed the qualifying examination within two attempts.

Lateral Entry Candidates

Diploma Holders (various branches) and B.Sc., students of science stream are also eligible to II year of the four years B.E. / B.Tech Degree courses

Candidates belonging to communities other than SC / ST should have passed the qualifying examination within two attempts. 

Validity of Admission:

Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination of an University / Board other than those approved by Anna University and have been selected, will be admitted to the college provisionally, subject to their qualifications being recognized by the Anna University / Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE). The candidates concerned should therefore write to the Registrar of the Anna University / DoTE in advance to obtain and produce in original, the documentary evidence of acceptance by the University / DoTE , of their qualification before being admitted to the college. The admission to the college will be made on the basis of the declaration by the candidate, If the qualification, for any reason, is not recognized by the University / DoTE, the candidate will have to discontinue the course.

Only those candidates selected under the merit and NRI quota will be intimated in the first instance. Those who applied against possible lapsed seat (if any) will have to wait till the Government of Tamilnadu closes the admissions, to find out the vacancies (if any). The selection of candidates will be provisional, subject to their being found eligible on the verification of their original certificates at the time of admission. The Principal reserves the right of refusing to admit the candidate, if on verification of the original certificate, the candidate is found to be ineligible for admission or if any suppression of particulars are detected. Further, if the candidate is found to be ineligible at a later stage of his / her admission, the college has the right to cancel the admission at whatever stage the candidate may be at the time. A joint declaration should be signed at the time of admission by the candidate and his / her parent, in the format specified in the application. Candidates should ensure that correct information regarding marks, age and community is furnished by him / her.

If it is not correct,then
  • He / She forfeits the admission, no matter at what stage of the course he / she will be in that time.
  • Legal action will be initiated against him/ her for furnishing false information.
